Peter Mitchell called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM
Meeting to Review Phelps Engineering Proposal.
Roger moved to accept Phelps proposal and Dick seconded it, now it is open for discussion.
Approval will be made contingent with the following items.
1. Electronic Files for documentation
2.O & M Manual to create one that includes our present one.
3. Electric Schematics
4. Demonstrating or certifying funcuality
5. Authorization for the Chairman to act on behalf of the Board of Trustees
Motion was carried unanimously
Project Status.
1. Alan has responded to questions from Aug. 11th meeting via e-mail, this was discussed and everyone was fine with this.
2. Land Purchase, we are still waiting on a response from Mike Forsberg's banks.
3. Advertisement for bids was in the newspaper on August 14 and should be in again on the 21st.
4. A discussion is to be set up with Alan and John Champlin to discuss the controls.
5. Question on whether or not the Town needs an updated plot plan, Peter is to check on this.
Other
Lightning strike on August 12, 2003. Marc checked out system after being paged and realized that we had been hit, he ran the system manually. He contacted Walt Douglas and he could not find it. He than called John Champlin and they spent Wednesday searching and found out that the transmitter was the problem, replaced it temporarily until a new one came and Marc installed it. The old transmitter has been sent to see if it can be repaired for a back-up. Jane has contacted the VLCT to inform them of the lightning strike and a claim will be filed with them for reimbursement.
Marc has requested that we purchase more keyed padlocks we will be needing them.
