1.   Call to Order and Welcome.  Joe O’Brien called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.  The Agenda was adopted as printed.

2.   Review and approval of minutes of previous meeting(s).  Minutes from the August meeting were approved.

3.   Review and approval of financial statements.  The financial statements for August were accepted as printed.

4.   Customer Comments.

Shannon McCaulley questioned the usage.  Will look at history and average.

We did hear from a couple customers when the water was shut off for the hydrant repair saying they didn’t know about it.  Possibly put a notice on sign at Clarks in the future?

Joe said someone on Depot Street said their water was discolored.

5.   Operations Report.

Test Results and Testing.

Bacteria results negative.

Fluoride results within tolerance.

Routine testing and operations.

6.   Old Business.

A.  For the O&M Manual, there is one page left to do.  Brian is working on it.

B.  The hydrant was replaced at 385 Vermont Route 15.  The water was turned back on at 6:30 p.m.

C.  Steve said Liam had Fridays open in the near future, so the painting will be finished in the next couple weeks.

D.  Lead copper discussion will be next month.  Not due until November, 2027.

E.  The Harvest Crossing infrastructure is done and the foundations are going in.

The Mannings had bulldozers and vibrating compactors on their lawn over the main line water service.  Sediment from the vibrations went into their hot water heater.  It plugged the furnace and the hot water heater failed in the auxiliary house.  It is going to cost $10,000.00 to repair.  They sent the repair bill to the insurance company for JL McDonald and they are refusing to cover the costs.  Steve will check with the Mannings.  Joe identified the shut off on the property.  The drilling for a service line for electric went under Route 15.

7.   New Business.

A.    Tank inspections – change overflow to meet new standards.  Drop down two feet instead of flat.  Need to dig out and away.  Joe will do a precast box.  No hurry in cleaning.  Calls for something on cap.  Should have a safety for climbing on ladder.  There is now way to hitch a harness.  Joe will look at the reports on access.

B.     Joe has a call into SOS and is waiting to hear on contact.  Need to do from the bottom of Mt. Mansfield to the source.

C.    Champlin investigated the booster pump issues.  Said we should have a new pressure tank with cooling fans and alarms.  Andy said it was better and no one else has complained.  Brian doesn’t know what to do.  Joe will have Lance look at it.  Brain received a proposal from Champlin for $14,105.50.  We are going to hold off.

Steve asked if we could update the maps with the engineering firm with a list of things not currently on.  The bank is new and Harvest Crossing.  Joe will put on for next month.

Joe said we need to trim brush and trees over Maple Ridge tank.  Need to replace roofing and pressure wash.

8. Next Regular Meeting.  Next regular meeting October 6, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

9. Review and Approve Bills.  Bills were reviewed and approved.
