1. Call to Order and Welcome. Joe O’Brien called the meeting to order at 6:28 p.m. The Trustees met at the storage building on VT Farmhouse Road at 6:00 p.m. The agenda was adopted as presented.
2. Review and approval of minutes of previous meeting(s). Minutes from the April meeting was approved.
3. Review and approval of financial statements. The financial statements for April were approved. Tanner asked when the bonds mature. Joe believes on 12/1/33. Has the Merchants Bank 2015 loan been paid? Nancy will check on liability and take off the books if necessary.
4. Customer Comments.
Steve talked with Lee Dumas again about hydrant markings. Marc had a sheet with the markings and Steve gave Lee a copy. Two on Park Street have the same number. Joe will look at the pumphouse for numbers.
The Town has approval from FEMA for Patricia Gray’s house on Dumas Street. Patricia has moved out. Brian turned off the water. The Town has a bid to deconstruct the house. They are waiting for asbestos testing. They will fill the basement and take out the meter and return it to us. It is going to be a park and turnaround. The curb stop will still be there.
Peter Geise called to say he sold another property.
5. Operations Report.
Test Results and Testing.
Bacteria result negative.
Fluoride results within tolerance.
Routine testing and operations.
There were few erratic readings with the Hach analyzer last month.
Was it determined if the generator was leaking internally?
Rowley Fuels will inspect the Poker Hill and Control Building propane tanks on May 12.
Steve said Brian had a defuser on the hydrant by Dumas and it was spraying right on Route 15 and disrupting traffic. Joe said it was for pressure testing. The information is not back yet. There are signs for men working in the storage building that should be used.
6. Old Business.
A. Chris Wells is available to work on the hydrant at 385 VT Route 15. Joe will ask SOS to get a date for installing and how to raise the hydrant at Raceway. We will try to get them done at the same time. We will need a permit from the State for the work and traffic control.
B. There were transducer installation problems. Something on the recalculation was off and sending error messages. They shut it off while working. The daily reports look good now and no more messages.
C. Steve said Chris Wells came with crushed stone to make a platform for container. He added a new pipe for the one that was broken and cleared along the bank up to the gate. We should brush hog the gate to the road. Tanner said he will have a boom lift for a month and they can do it then.
Steve said a piece of aluminum for a snow rester over the gutter along front would be good and a down spout on the side. He trimmed around the building. Joe will take care of the trees.
Steve has contacted the people for the container but wants to go look at it first.
Steve said the metal detector goes down 18 feet, so we do not need a new one.
Steve said nothing else has been purchased yet. He said a solar powered security camera for about $200.00 would be could at the container. Joe asked if the solar flood lights worked.
D. The storage building site visit moved to New Business
E. Joe has not heard anything on the lead copper follow up.
F. Haven’t heard anything on the Mill Development. There was an excavator there and staging up.
7. New Business.
A. Nothing on Harvest Crossing.
B. For the sanitary survey, we will install a pressure tank at 70 Maple Ridge Road. Joe will contact a plumber to do.
Joe said one correction has to be made on the CCR on how it was sent as it was late. It has to be sent digitally. A notice will go out in next billing.
We need to add to the O&M Manual. It has to have a certain format digitally. Joe got an error and asked Marc to fix it. Joe has a sample and will get to Tanner for format.
Steve asked about fluoride. Joe said we had an all-day (7-7) voting day about 12 years ago and it was voted to keep. We will keep our ears open. Joe has a lot of information if anyone wants it.
C. Joe will ask Brian about the flushing next week. Brian wants to spread it out over a week. Joe asked Steve if Brian had asked him for a 2” reducer and Steve said no. Joe will put the notice on Front Porch Forum and the signs will be put out.
D. For the meter reading issues, Tracy Martin had a new meter installed, but it is not sending signals. Jericho Roofing Company resided the building and the meter wall pad was not mounted back on. We will check on the others to see why they are not reading correctly.
E. Joe, Steve and Tanner visited the storage building on VT Farmhouse Road. They determined it was good enough to fix and use. Giant parts and stuff we want to sit on can be stored there. First if needs to be cleaned out. Joe will ask Marc about the PVC piping. Joe will ask Brian about plastic recycling. Some ground keeping around the building needs to be done. The roof will be fixed with metal when it is dryer. Tanner and Steve will do.
Steve will talk with Chris once it dies out about going down and taking out the ditch.
Steve asked how to keep the water from going in the pumphouse. Can we raise the door and put cement on the opening?
