1.   Call to Order and Welcome.  Joe O’Brien called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  The Agenda was adopted as printed.

2.   Review and approval of minutes of previous meeting(s).  Minutes from the December meeting were approved.

3.   Review and approval of financial statements.  The financial reports for December were approved.

4.   Customer Comments.

4 Farmhouse Road has the connection going into the barn.

The brick house and land are for sale.  Has the allocation run out?

Andy went to collect at the Sheridan home and someone living there said Mary was dead and they are not responsible for the water bill.  Andy told them to find out who was and get it paid or we would turn off the water.  Joe believes the daughter is living there.

5.   Operations Report.

Test Results and Testing.

Bacteria results negative.

Fluoride results within tolerance.

Routine testing and operations.

Joe and Brian have been manually turning on the well pumps.  Brian ordered the parts for the Mission main control and mother board and is waiting for them to come in.

The transducer at the Maple Ridge cistern is the same.  It is under warranty.  Brian has been turning it on every day.  Joe does it when Brian can’t.  It is being run during the day when it is usually pumped at night.  Big increase in electric bill?

The pumphouse generator did not come on.  It was rebuilt two years ago.  It is around ten years old.  It is being serviced on Friday.

Brian did the meter readings and couldn’t get 4 Farmhouse Road or Tracy Martin to read.  Martin put the meter in himself.

Steve rigged up an emergency light for Brian.

6.   Old Business.

A.    Nothing on United Church.  There was an interview on the radio.  No word from the engineer.

They did receive state and local permits on December 1.  The State needs to know the hydrant pressure.  O’Leary & Burke did testing previously.  Rick Hamlin called Joe and asked.  Joe told him the ask the Fire Department or O’Leary & Burke.  O’Leary & Burke would not give him the information.  Rick and Brian did the testing of the three hydrants by the store.

B.  For the hydrant replacement, Joe wrote to Lane just before Christmas and hasn’t heard back.  All we need is for them to buy the right hydrant for us.  Joe sent him the specs.

C.  Joe will ask Brian what the situation is with the chlorine analyzer.  For fluoride, we had an all day vote about six years ago.  We will see what the president says.

D.  We are done with the lead copper.  There were no more requests besides one on Raceway and the apartment house Calvin Caswell purchased.

7.   New Business.

A.    Steve said we would purchase the storage container in the spring.  They are picking up small things.  Steve will get an inventory of what we have and need and work with Brian.

B.     For the storage building on Vermont Farmhouse Road, we will do a spring time inspection.  In April or May, will start down there and then talk about it after.

C.    They tested the hydrant pressure on Route 15, by the store and by the sawdust building on River Road.  Joe has sent prints.  Rick Hamlin was impressed with the pressure.  We have the capacity to serve the project.  The leach field installed by the market was for three lots.

D.    The hydrants are listed on the report.  Joe had to sign and it was submitted.  They want to extend an 8” line from the market over to sawdust bin and another 8” line perpendicular to Park Street.  There will be 7-11 apartments in old saw mill.  Tatro will start work on in the spring?  Off the apartments will be a row of houses.  There will be two lines from the store, across Route 15 and back to serve that Phase 1.

Marc wants Joe to take a webinar on mapping, etc.  Joe will talk with O’Leary Burke for maps.

8. Next Regular Meeting.  Next regular meeting February 4, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

9. Review and Approve Bills.  Bills were reviewed and approved.

Adjournment.  The regular meeting was adjourned at 6:49 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Nancy Benson, Clerk/Treasurer
