1.   Call to Order and Welcome.  Joe O’Brien called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.  The Agenda was adopted as presented.

2.   Review and approval of minutes of previous meeting(s).  Minutes from the March meeting were approved.  Steve asked about the GPS coordinates on the map.  Marc sent out a file that could not be opened.  The Fire Department will mark them.

3.   Review and approval of financial statements.  The financial reports for March were approved.  Joe had a talk with Marc about the budget.

4.   Customer Comments.  Joe spoke with the Guays about very brown water.  Brian went right over and opened the blowoff by the barn.  He ran it for about ten minutes and it cleared up.  He said we need to do it more than twice a year.  The Board said it should be done at least quarterly.

Calvary Episcopal Church e-mailed about a leak at the meter.  Brian looked and the leak is at the joint before the meter.  The shutoff is before the joint.  Brian said it is not the District’s responsibility.

A customer at 6 Meadow Lane called to have their water shut off to make a plumbing repair.  The ball valved seized and would not shut off.  Brian found the curb stop and shut the water off and then turned it back on.

5.   Operations Report.

Operator’s Report.

  1. Water usage.  ________ gal/day
  2. Test Results and Testing.

Bacteria results negative.

Fluoride results within tolerance.

Routine testing and operations.

Simon is testing monthly.  They are picking up the samples and the results are going directly to the State.  Joe asked that the results also be sent to us.

6.   Old Business.

A.  Nothing new on the Mill Development.

B.  Nothing new on United Church.  There was a preliminary survey dated March 1.

C.  The tank cleaning has been put off.  Joe told Simon to keep us in mind if other districts are having it done.

7.   New Business.

A.  For the sanitary survey, Joe talked with Kevin Campbell on Sugarhill and Sue Morris on Maple Ridge.  The customers are not happy.  The homeowners have to do the work.  More pressure testing has to be done.  Joe told Sue the District would cover the costs for inspection.  We are going to sit on it for now until the State says something.  Joe wrote a letter to 70 Maple Ridge.

B.  Joe applied for a variance.  He received an e-mail from William Nickerson that was not very helpful.  He will give him a couple weeks to hear back.

C.  Joe asked if we should do the hydrant flushing ourselves as we have been doing or get advice from Simon.  Simon had said earlier to flush each hydrant.  Steve said if we have Simon do it, we should shadow them.  Joe will press them.  Brian is ready to do the flushing.  Joe has sent e-mails to Lane and the other two, but hasn’t heard back.  He will call and text as well.

8. Next Regular Meeting.  Next regular meeting May 2, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.

9. Review and Approve Bills.  Bills were reviewed and approved.

Adjournment.  The regular meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Nancy Benson, Clerk/Treasurer
