2.   Review and approval of minutes of previous meeting(s).  Minutes from the January meeting were approved.

3.   Review and approval of financial statements.  The financial statements for January were approved.

4.   Customer Comments.  Steve and Wendy Guay wrote a letter to the Board regarding high manganese in their water.  Kirk said their water was discolored when they filled up hot tub.  It was light gray with no sediment.  He said when the chlorine is high, it can make manganese off.  The chlorine has been fine.  Kirk said the tap is close to tap that runs to tap house.  The blow off was flushed.  The Guays want the line flushed.  We need a special day to do this.  Kirk will find their number and Joe will contact them.

Kirk said Tammy Sherer at Creekside was not a water service problem.  It was the line to the boiler.  Kirk met with the plumber.

5.   Operations Report.

Operator’s Report.

  1. Water usage.  ________ gal/day
  2. Test Results and Testing.

Bacteria results negative.

Fluoride results within tolerance.

Kirk put an ad on Front Porch Forum for an assistant operator.  There was quite a bit of interest.  Kirk talked and met with numerous people.  A couple were not interested after Kirk told them the time involved.  Tom Cota works with Andy on the Fire Department and works for UVM as a biomedical service tech.  Kirk said he picked up really quick.

The heater went in the pump house.  There was an electrical smell.  It scorched the ceiling a little.  Kirk called Mark, who ordered a new one and put it in.  There is an alarm for hot and cold.  It wasn’t cold enough to go off.

12 Maple Ridge had dirty water.  Joe told them to run the water and it didn’t come back.

Kirk spoke with horse owner.  He told him to talk with Wayne Elliot.

E.  Kirk gave notice to Champlin.  His last day is February 4.  He is the only certified operator on staff.  Mike in the office will be doing daily stuff that Kirk has been doing, but is not licensed.  Can we contract out with another certified operator?  Joe will look at contract to see about willful termination.  Champlin operates 14/15 systems.  Will check to see if Mike Willard is willing to assist.  His license expires in July.  Tom is doing the daily work right now.  Joe will contact Dave at Champlin.  We have to keep up monthly reporting and sampling.  The State will not shut us down.  Andy is in town and is willing to help if needed.
