1.   Call to Order and Welcome.  Joe O’Brien called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. to adopt the Agenda, which was approved.

 

2.   Review and approval of minutes of previous meeting(s).  Minutes from the August meeting were approved.

 

3.   Review and approval of financial statements.  The financial reports for August were approved.

 

4.   Customer Comments

 

Mike spoke with Lou Wilson, who reported dirty water.  It was clean by the time Mike got there.  It may have been from the hydrant cleaning.

 

5.   Correspondence

 

A.  LCT quarterly report.

 

6.   Operations Report.

 

Operator’s Report.

  1. i.                    Water usage.  41,161 gal/day
  2. ii.                  Test Results and Testing.

Bacteria results negative.

Fluoride results within tolerance.

 

Mike said the fluoride readings were low for the State at .04.  The control building had 1.5 and the standard reading was 1.5 on the meter.  It should be around 1.0.  Mike cleaned the meter and added fluoride.  There may be a problem with the meter.  Mike with check with Hach to have the meter looked at.  Mike will give Jason samples to test at IBM.

 

Mike hasn’t heard from Marc on pump test.

 

Mike said the valve boxes on Route 15 are mostly freed up.  There are a couple extensions in the pavement that are not enough and Mike will contact Hutchinson.

 

Mike said the analyzer went out.  He unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked.

 

7.   Repairs, Maintenance, and Connections.

 

Mike said the generator maintenance is good.

 

Mike said flushing will be done October 17 and 18.  Joe has a boot for the inch worm.

 

Andy said the hydrants have been serviced.  There is one cap by the school that will not come off.  Mike said the hydrant on the corner of Meadow Lane is pretty bad.

 

8.   Old Business.

 

  1. A.    Nothing new on Mill Development.

 

B.  Painting on the hydrants should be finished by October 15.

 

C.  Joe said they cut across the path today for the culvert on Maple Ridge.  Mike has heard nothing.  Nate will give 4/5 days’ notice before work is done.  Joe said Marc will smooth out the digging on Thursday.

 

D.  Nothing new on Barrett Lane.

 

E.  Andy talked with Josh Whitehall and he would be grateful for business. He is out of Morrisville and can be available within two hours.

 

9.   New Business. 

 

A.  The requirement for the chemical containment was done.  Nothing else was mentioned in the formal report.  Joe wrote to the State.

 

B.  Jason had a preliminary budget for review.  Training fees were to be increased.  It was suggested that a 4% increase in base, usage and sprinkler fees be added for next year.  Jason will sent out a revised budget.

 

  1. C.  Joe spoke with Tanner Palmer, who said he was interested in the Trustee position.

 

  1. D.  Andy and Mike and taking a class tomorrow on the PFOA testing.  Endyne will do the logistics.  Mike said after they are trained, they will take a sample.  Mike said test results to the State are due at the end of September.

 

  1. Joe will prepare the annual report to have signed by all three trustees.  The warning for the annual meeting to be posted ten days before meeting.  Joe will find a moderator for the meeting.

 

Andy said mowing should be done more often at the control building.  He has mowed it for free three additional times.  It was agreed that it should be mowed every two weeks.  Andy also said he needs to brush hog by the river.

 

10. Next Regular Meeting.  Next regular meeting October 1, 2019 following the annual meeting at 7:00 p.m.

 

11. Review and Approve Bills.  Bills were reviewed and approved.

 

Adjournment.  The regular meeting was adjourned at 8:13 p.m.
