Peter Mitchell called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm and the Agenda was approved.
1. Review & approval of previous minutes. Minutes from the August 4th meeting were approved. The minutes of the August 11th Special Meeting were approved.
2. Review & approval of financial statements. The financial reports for the August meeting were approved.
3. Operations Report.
A. Operator’s report.
i. Water usage. 59203 gal/day
ii. Test Results and Testing.
Bacteria results negative.
Fluoride results within tolerance.
B. Located valve boxes Poker Hill and 5 Creekside and valves on Raceway. Replaced meter at 391 VT RT 15.
C. On August 22nd service boxes were replaced on Barrett Lane, 7 VT Farmhouse and Ritter’s
D. The test for Trihalomethanes and Halocetic Acids was accidentally not taken in August. Marc checked with the State to see how they wanted us to handle it. The State said they must be taken in August since that is when our water is warmest. They were not overly concerned since there is none of this in water in the State, but we will have to put in our CCR report.
E. Mike is gone through September 11th.
4. Customer concerns/comments.
A. Doug Siple of 7 VT Farmhouse contacted Marc about an odor in his water in one shower. Marc tested and all levels were good he suggested draining his hot water heater and flushing and cleaning it. It seems to have worked.
5. Repairs and Maintenance.
A. The solenoid valve on the surge control was not allowing the differential, Marc took it apart and cleaned it. It seems to be working ok. He ordered a repair kit for it.
6. Old Business.
A. PSN has been set up on the website there are a few little issues to work out and then will be ready to go.
B. The Leak Detection Company needs to be able to get down to the nuts and bolts on all curb stops and valves. Marc suggested that they would have to get someone to suck them out so he will contact Working Dog Septic for a price if they do this.
C. There was more discussion about Capital Planning and the upcoming Budget meeting.
7. New Business.
A. Jane presented what it would cost to send out a bulk mailing with the warning for the Annual meeting. Jason made a motion to send it as a bulk mailing Joe seconded the motion and the Board approved it. Peter will prepare the warning.
8. Bills to review & approve for payment. Bills were reviewed and approved.
9. Next Meeting Date: Next regular meeting October 6, 2014 and the Annual Meeting will also be October 6th.
11. Adjournment. The meeting adjourned 9:25 pm.
