Peter Mitchell called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM
1. Review of Letter Report and Contract Documents-
- Approx. $12.00 per square foot for painting and this would include encapsulation. 115,000.00 for interior and exterior painting for contracted services.
- Discussed the advantages of VFDs regarding the future whether or not we do the new tank. Marc would like to run the VFDs for several months prior to using them for this project.
- The hours of 7:00 to 7:00 were discussed for work hours on the job, but this will be discussed with neighbors prior to the start.
- The Board will review insurance requirements with VLCT based on Alan's letter.
- It was agreed that there was not a need for a field office on site
- Temporary fencing would be done if we did not have permanent fencing in place at that time
- Would also like the contractor to put a screen covering on the tank during the repairs.
- Would like to know if they will clean out the tank or if we have to.
- We will contact CWD and see what information we can get about their tank painting experiences and who they have had do it.
- Suggested that we send our bid to 5 contractors and ask for response in 1 month, giving them a date we want it done by and see where the bids come in we can always refuse them.
- Would want the engineer to draw up a diagram for Walt Douglas to use for installation.
- Roger and Doug would like to know the cost of tearing down the old tank and putting up a 300,000 gal tank. Alan will get this info for us to review.
