President Harold Sargent called the meeting to order at 7:12 p.m.
1. Review & Approval of Previous Minutes. The proposed October 5, 1998 minutes were reviewed and unanimously approved.
2. Review & Approval of Financial Statements. The October 1998 financial statement was reviewed and unanimously accepted.
3. Operator's Report.
1. A discussion of the chlorine readings and the effect the age of chlorine would have on those readings was held.
4. Customer concerns.
Two customers have called the clerk to complain that their bills were too high. In both cases the reading the meter reader had recorded was verified by the owner as being correct. The clerk reviewed with the customers the possible causes for the high water usage.
5. Old Business.
Marc has installed the electric heater. Harold gave him a different thermostat to install in the line because the one in the new heater may not be accurate.
Mrs. Wrisley's home at 6 Dumas Road was connected to the water system on October 29. 1998. She was told to wait until November 2, 1998 to drink the water in order for the line to clear. The clerk was instructed to send her a bill for the connection fee of $1500.
d. Report on painting pipes in the Control Building - Harold. No action taken.
Ken has made calls to two companies. He is waiting to receive information and price lists.
Harold had checked with Bob Ginsberg who said the gate needed to be removed and taken to his place of business in order to do the repairs. This would cost $200. Blue Seal Feed sells new gates for $95.90. Harold will
inspect the gate for possible repairs and adding a wheel and a guy wire for support.
