President Harold Sargent called the meeting to order at. 7:07 p.m.
1. Review & Approval of Previous Minutes. The proposed June 1, 1998 minutes were reviewed and unanimously approved.
2. Review & Approval of Financial Statements. The June 1998 financial statement was reviewed and unanimously accepted.
3. Operator's Report.
a. Water use. 60,474 gpd.
b. Operators' Reports.

- The high water in the river has eroded the river bank close to the road at the Control Building. Marc Maheux suggested that the river bank area be fixed to enable vehicles to cross over to the wells if that becomes necessary. Harold will look into this, call Barry Cahoun, etc.
- On Friday, July 3rd a leak was confirmed at the valve box on Brookside Drive. Marc Maheux, Jim Durbrow and workers from Red Hed Supply will repair this leak on Thursday, July 9. The clerk was instructed to call and inform those homes who would be without water due to the repairs.
c. Other. None
4. Customer concerns.
David Villeneuve expressed his concerns regarding the finishing of the
landscaping on his property to the meter reader as she was making her rounds.
5. Old Business.
- Poker Hill project. The board decided to put this project on hold due to the recent flooding within the district.
- Proposed berm construction at Pump House No. 1. Pat Lamphere will do this project. The ditch needs work now, too. The board authorized Harold to have the ditch cleaned out at a cost not to exceed $500.
- Flushing Reports. The flushing has been completed except for Brookside Drive which will be done following the repairs on July 9.
- Pesticide Report. The water report on pesticides has been received and is negative for those pesticides tested.
- Other. None
6. New Business.
- Flash flood in water district. The flash flood in the district in the early morning hours of June 18, 1998 did no apparent damage to the water system. It was decided to trace the 2" copper line on Barrett Lane because the town plans to install a new concrete box culvert in that ar
- Water credit for flood homes??? Following a discussion, the board voted
- to give emergency credit for 10,000 gal. ($30.00) of water for clean-up efforts to the ten homes on Dumas Road, Route 15, and Meadow Lane affected by the flood.
- c. The date of the August meeting was moved from the 3rd to the 10th due Board members' vacations.
7. Bills to review Si approve for payment. The bills were reviewed and approved for payment.
8. Adjournment. The meeting was adjourned at 9t37 p.m.
