The monthly meeting of the Jericho-Underhill Water District was called to order at 7:10 on August 4, 1986.
Those present were: David Damkot, Harold Sargent, Sue Carter, Bob Greenia and Allen Bolio.
Minutes of the previous meeting were distributed, read and accented as written.
New Business: David read a Letter from Nancy Roskam requesting water for two (2) single family dwellings in the barn behind their home. Under the present moratorium, the Board has denied this request for water; however, under the permission given at a prior time to supply water for a studio/workshop the Board will honor that request. Usage by people dwelling in the two apartments is not acceptable under the moratorium.
When and if the apartments become a part of the Water District, it will be requested that the barn contain its own meter. At the time the plumbing is done for these apartments, a new service line must be put in place with a 3/4" Line to the barn from the main or a 1" line to the house with a 3/4" line to the barn. A $400.00 hook up fee will be charged.
There was a discussion on the Agreement from Christine cluck and Joe Capps written by their attorney, Mr. Schmucker. It was decided to strengthen a clause in the Agreement stating a remedy for over usage of water.
Bob Greenia reported for the Long Range Planning Committee. He stated that the research that they had planned was not a feasible idea and that the projected, figures from the Regional Planning office seem to be the figures to use for planning purposes.
Bob suggested that the Board send to each Zoning administrator, Chairman of the Planning Board and Town Clerk of both towns a copy of Incorporation papers, Rules of the District and District map as a reminder that we must be kept appraised of any new building and proposed apartments in the District. We must be a part of the permit cycle.
David reported that the drilling crew will be in the District on August 5. They will be working on the existing well site and at the Villeneuve property as the only options the District has at this time.
The meeting adjourned at 9:15.
