1. Call to Order and Welcome. Joe O’Brien called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. to adopt the Agenda, which was approved. Joe welcomed Steve St. Peter as the assistant operator trainee.
2. Review and approval of minutes of previous meeting(s). Minutes from the September meeting were approved.
3. Review and approval of financial statements. The financial reports for September were approved.
4. Customer Comments.
A. None.
B. None.
C. Joe O’Brien invited Steve St. Peter to tell the Board about himself. Steve retired in 2012 after serving 23 years as a registered nurse in Kansas and Vermont. He moved to Vermont in 2007 and lives on Pleasant Valley Road. He was a teacher before that. He worked in Kansas previously as a quality control officer doing EPA testing with a customer base of 35,000.
5. Correspondence. Magazines.
6. Operations Report.
Operator’s Report.
Bacteria results negative.
Fluoride results within tolerance.
7. Repairs, Maintenance, and Connections.
Kirk said the leaks on the chlorine pump are continuing. The tubing is one year old, so they are going to replace it. Kirk suggested a new pump, which is about $800.00. Joe will put on the agenda for November.
Kirk noticed a fire truck using a hydrant. The person has been billed for the unauthorized use.
Kirk suggested radio reads for the driving meters at the outer lying areas. He called Ti-Sales and they are $112.00 each. Joe will be on the agenda for November.
Kirk said otherwise things are good.
8. Old Business.
A. Nothing new on Mill Development.
B. Maple Ridge work is done.
C. Hydrant proposals will be asked for in January of February.
D. No new allocation requests.
E. The wells and pumps are running well.
F. Billing software is going well. There were a couple accounts that were high and may be a factor off. Kirk will check on those.
G. Mission radios are here and need to be installed.
H. Tank inspections are on books for spring.
9. New Business.
A. No review necessary.
B. The assistant operator transition is going well.
C. The capital plan review and budget will be done next month.
D. The flushing date has been scheduled for October 16. Marc or Joe will help with that.
10. Next Regular Meeting. The next regular meeting is set for November 10, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
11. Review and Approve Bills. Bills were reviewed and approved.
Adjournment. The regular meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
