1. Call to Order and Welcome. Joe O’Brien called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The Agenda was adopted as printed.
2. Review and approval of minutes of previous meeting(s). Minutes from the June meeting were approved.
Steve did the shingle work and left a bundle there in case more is needed.
The Consumer Confidence Report was distributed.
Joe talked with Brian and Brian checked the meter at the Guay house.
Steve saw the hydrant flushing at Dumas’ house. The water was going across Route 15 and there were no cones out. Lee Dumas told Steve they could direct the water to the back of his house.
3. Review and approval of financial statements. The financial reports for June were approved.
4. Customer Comments. Joe spoke with Listenik about the colored water. Joe talked with Marc about it. The pipes are copper. The line goes under Route 15 on the other side and splits off to the three houses – Listenik, Mitchell and Middlebrook. Tanner asked if it could be from the sediment in the tank. Joe spoke with Lane at Simon about cleaning in the spring.
Lee Dumas said there are still issues with his filter. Steve asked if we should use a 4” diffuser instead of a 2”. Joe will talk with Brian about a 4”.
5. Operations Report.
Operator’s Report.
Bacteria results negative.
Fluoride results within tolerance.
Routine testing and operations.
The battery wasn’t holding, so Brian got a new one at Interstate Battery.
Brian was going to check with Lance at Simon about ordering our chemicals through them.
6. Old Business.
A. Nothing new on the Mill Development.
B. Nothing new on United Church. Still in the Town hearing process.
C. No change in the sanitary survey – Joe hasn’t heard anything.
7. New Business.
A. Joe asked Steve and Tanner to look at last year to see where we stand budget wise. Do we need to increase fees and salaries? Nancy will provide a list of vendor expenses for the August meeting.
B. The River Road development is in the proposal phase with the Jericho Development Review Board. It is the brick house across from Browns River Middle School. Four houses are proposed behind there and the white house on the corner of Park Street. The development is six lots, reserving two lots adjacent to Villeneuve.
C. 1 River Road had a very high usage. The meter leak should not have caused that much usage. Brian did replace the meter. The current bill was averaged out with the previous bills.
8. Next Regular Meeting. Next regular meeting August 1, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
9. Review and Approve Bills. Bills were reviewed and approved.
Adjournment. The regular meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
