Peter Mitchell called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM
1. Review & Approve Minutes- Monthly meeting accepted. Special meeting correct then and fro and then they were accepted.
2. Review & Approve Financial Reports- Reports accepted
3. Operators Report-
Water usage 41419 gal/day
Bacteria results good
Plans are being made to prepare for Gross Alpha, Radium 226 & 228 and VOC's test kits to be picked up at state lab
Marc sent a letter to ISO for Phelps Engineering to receive fire flow information they need to run a water cad with.
Entrance gate to control is coming apart and needs repairs, Marc to research alternative gate solutions and report on these later.
Sanitary Survey April 9th at 8:00 am
Requested Water Conservation pamphlets from water supply to send out in our next billing.
Fluoride may go down as we prepare to clean it, and after cleaning may increase, we will keep in close touch with Helen through this process.
Call Contact about Joe's pager it goes on and off on its own.
Jeffords Bill- Marc has contacted Jay Rutherford and shared his concerns on this bill and he will review them and get back to him.
4. Customers Concerns- Forsberg Property if we do not put a tank in this location would we want to suggest to the citizens to petition us to extend the property boundaries so they could be hooked on. The cost to extend up there would have to be mostly paid for by those people, we will wait until we here from Phelps and move forward with their recommendations.
5. Guest- Mike Murphy from TI-Sales. Mike explained about a Neptune Promotion for DAC 9300 meter gun, it is a 20 metering package for $8,000.00 it consists of 20 meters and a meter gun. Can be down loaded to the computer to do billing automatically, this gun will read the meters we have now. This offer is about $14,000.00 worth of equipment for $8,000.00 .
6. Repairs, Maintenance, Connections
No meters were replaced in March
3 meters will be left in storage for any emergencies
7. New Business- Rob Cormier attended the meeting to notify the board that he is being transferred to Germany. And will resign from his position as Meter Reader. He would be available to help his replacement get started on the June reading and possibly he may be around to do the June delinquent collections.
8. Old Business-
Phelps Engineering would like to meet April 22 to review Task 3 (new tank) this is not convenient so a meeting for April 29th at 7:00 has been scheduled.
Peter would like Vince Paradis to review the contract from Phelps and make sure it is fine.
Ken Mitchell's request for the map to be filed at the town hall has been done and a letter will be sent to him to let he know this is done.
Emergency Contingency Plan will be reviewed by trustees and discussed at a later date
Consumer Confidence Report has to be in everyone's hand by July 1st.
9. Review and Approve Bills- Invoices were reviewed and approved for payment.
10. Next Meeting- May 6, 2002 at 7:00 pm in the basement of the United Church
11. Adjournment- Peter adjourned meeting at 9:10 pm.
